Who works the wire well. Every figure is what a team actually got out of a move — points from that player, in that team’s starting lineup, after they acquired him.

What the wire gave back

Best pickups

Points scored while started, for the team that made the claim, during that player’s spell on their roster. Not NFL production, and not bench points: a player who scored thirty on your bench gave you nothing.

Drop regret and revenge

Drop regret

Nothing to report. A regret needs three things on file at once: the drop on the transaction log, a later spell on another roster whose start we can actually see, and real starter production after the move. Any of them missing and the claim is not made.

Revenge games

None yet. This only counts a player who was let go by a team on the transaction log, started against that team afterwards, scored, and won.

No unexplained numbers

How this page is calculated

  • Weeks come from rosters, not timestamps. Yahoo reports no week on a transaction, so rather than guess one from a calendar we do not have, production is bounded by the weeks a player was observed on that team’s roster. A player drafted, dropped and re-added is credited twice over, separately, and never for the gap.
  • Only started points count. What a player did on your bench is not value you received.
  • Direction is never inferred. An add, a drop or an add/drop has exactly one team on it, so attribution is a fact. A trade with no per-player destination is skipped rather than guessed at.
  • Zero-cost adds are kept separate. Dividing by zero is the least of it: a free add has no efficiency to measure.
